Goodwood has revealed more details of its upcoming celebrations to mark a number of key anniversaries.

The first race event of the year will be the 80th Members’ Meeting on April 15-16, which will feature a packed schedule for races themed to celebrate some of the famous names to have raced at the circuit.

‘Goodwood 75’ will be the central theme of this year’s Festival of Speed (July 13-16), and a collection of cars and bikes will be assembled to mark each era of the circuit’s 75-year history. Vehicles will be separated into five categories: The Racing Years (1948-66), The Testing Years (post-1966), 30 Years of the Festival of Speed (1993-2023), Racing Returns (1998-2023) and The Next 75 Years.

Arguably the highlight of Goodwood’s season, the Revival (September 8-10) will gather a group of cars that originally competed at the track in 1948, and the event will honour the legendary racer-turned master tuner Carroll Shelby, who would have celebrated his 100 birthday this year. Shelby took part in the most dramatic race in Goodwood history: the ’59 RAC TT.

The Revival also features a tribute to Lotus – also 75 this year.
