THE 24-HOUR RECORD AGAIN.
The 45 h.p. Renault once more succeeded in breaking the world’s 24 hour record on July loth at Montlhery Autodrome near Paris. The car was fitted with a special Weyman single-seater racing ” saloon ” body and ran throughout without trouble. The average speed for the full time was 108.3 m.p.h., but 1,000 kilometres were covered at 110.3 m.p.h., while to show that the car was quite unaffected by its gruelling the last lap was covered at 119 m.p.h.
