As the owner of the rumoured Gordon at in Australia Mentioned in “Fragments on Forgotten Makes” in MOTOR SPORT for March 1965, I was rather dismayed to read that its authenticity is doubted.
It would appear that in the early years these cars were hand made in a small workshop, and much changing took place . . . the engine was at one stage at the rear, and again at the front, and there is no doubt in my mind that this car is authentic and probably pre-1912.
If not, it has also fooled George Brooks, whom you no doubt know, and who is one of the most knowledgeable men in Australia on veteran cars.
