A few errors crept in last month, but we don’t mind owning up. The 1926 Victory Cup Trial text correctly mentioned that Taylor drove his Bugatti in the event, not that he won it, as the caption inferred. And the Sunbeam Crusader aero-engine used by Coatalen was rated at 150 hp, not 50. . .

The Hants & Berks MC holds its ingenious ‘On the Beaches’ classic car run, with D-day connotations, on August 21, over a route from Woodley aerodrome to Eastney Beach, Portsmouth. Bikists may like to note that the 32nd Graham Walker Run takes place at Beaulieu on August 21.

The Daimler & Lanchester DC’s Southern Rally weekend, based on Bognor Regis, is scheduled for August 20/21.

Over 300 vintage vehicles are forecast for the Lancashire Vintage & Country Fayre on September 3/4, at St Michaels-on-Wyre (A586). Proceeds to local charities. The Preston & DCC’s road rally finishes there on the Sunday.

Reminder — regulations for the 1995 LeJOG in December are available now, from John Brown, The Town House, Leigh, Worcester (0886-833505). Cars up to 1967 are eligible and pre-war cars are welcome.

Following the National Austin 7 Rally of the 750 MC at Beaulieu on July 3, there will be a Longbridge (birthplace) A7 rally on July 31, at Crofton Park. The big Ashover Rally on August 31, of the Vintage Austin Register, will feature all ages and types of Austins. W B
