Entries for the MCC’s classic Edinburgh Trial close on August 18, and are limited to 250. The event starts from Strensham Services, M5, and Toddington Services on the M1, and happens on October 6/7. It is open only to MCC members and the invited Army MCA and the Federation of British Police MCs. The trial belies its name by being run mainly in Derbyshire, with the finish at Buxton. There are 16 Sections or Controls; the first motorcycle rider is expected at Agnas Meadow (map ref 119/216474) by 5am, at Jacob’s Ladder (Special Test, 119/234759) by 12.50pm and at Litton Slack (119/191732) by 1.25pm, with the finish Control open by 2.55pm.
