The Chevrolet Corvair of Bruce Chapman made its UK race debut at Silverstone in May when Rae Davis raced the 1965 car in a Top Hat race. The 2.8-litre turbocharged rear-engined machine is seen as a challenger for the Ford Mustangs and Falcons.
