Button bets on Honda upgrade

Jenson Button expects an update package to help propel Honda up the grid at Silverstone.

The team will introduce its last major upgrade at the British GP before its R&D focus switches to 2009 car development.

“We have some new bits coming,” Button told Motor Sport, “and it’s a circuit where the car should work better, with the higher downforce levels. It’s a sell-out crowd and obviously Lewis is the guy in front, but they also support the other Brits.”

Ross Brawn says he is looking forward to his first home race as Honda team principal: “For the past 10 years I’ve been coming to Silverstone to beat the British teams, so this is quite a novelty!”
