This classic toolkit is hung from a riveted leather strap on the inside of the 1930 Bentley Blower driven for our cover feature. Originally at Le Mans, drivers were only allowed to make repairs with tools they carried within the cars – meaning this kit was crucial for success. It’s a bit more hi-tech than that now, but the ethos hasn’t changed and every car at Le Mans still carries a toolkit for roadside repairs; even the Toyota LMP1 crews are taught to use a spanner…
