Ferrari has teased its new Hypercar project, which will return the brand to the top class of global sportscar racing for the first time in 50 years. Unlike Cadillac, Ferrari has opted to follow the approach of Toyota, Glickenhaus and Peugeot by committing to building its own bespoke Hypercar, instead of going down the shared-chassis route of LMDh.

The firm’s head of Competizioni GT Antonella Coletta told reporters before this year’s Le Mans: “We chose to come back into LMH because when Ferrari races it needs to make the whole car. It’s nice to be in a free situation.”
