Launceston & North Cornwall MC is holding the sixth annual Launceston Trial on Sunday February 8th. This Classic Reliability Trial, closed to club members, is for the Fulford Cup, and starts in Launceston at 9 am, finishing in the White Horse Inn, Newport. The Club would be glad of assistance in marshalling the event and entry regs can be obtained by sending a large SAE to Les Connett, 3 Norman Close, Highweek, Newton Abbot, Devon.

Over the same weekend, the National Motor Museum is to hold a learning weekend about automobile collectibles — literature, mascots,models, art— and how to find them. The full board course, which runs from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon, is based at the Master Builders House Hotel, Buckler’s Hard and includes visits to the Museum, its Libraries, and Stores.  The fee is £110. Speaking of models, Motor Books of 33 St Martins Court, London, has recently taken over two new branches, in Oxford and Bournmouth, where models, and motoring and railway books will be stocked, and in time the London branch will begin to stock models as well. A list of titles is available.

Looking ahead to March, the Alvls OC has arranged a Luxury weekend at the White Hart Inn, Lincoln, on Friday 13th to Sunday 15th, at a cost of £35 per person per night. Further details from John Fox, 71 Yarborough Crescent, Lincoln.
