Brundle stays with Jaguar

Lotus’ decision to re-sign Satoru Nakajima for 1989 seems to have ended Martin Brundle’s hopes of getting back into Formula One on a full-time basis, the new World Sportscar Champion refusing to consider driving for any team which has no serious race-winning prospects.

Brundle has, however, signed a fresh contract with Tom Walkinshaw Racing, and is also considering offers of subsidiary employment in Indycars.
