Alan Jones (left) looked all set for a return to Formula One in 1985. The 38-year-old was due to sign for Carl Haas’ new GP squad. With American footwear giant Beatrice providing $80 million in backing, the team was expected to use a Lola chassis fitted with a TAG-Porsche V6.
