March honoured

Charles March, the Earl of March and Kinrara, has been presented with the Motorsport Industry Association’s award for ‘the Most Outstanding Contribution’ to the motor sport industry.

Lord March is the latest recipient of the award whose previous winners include Frank Williams, Stirling Moss, Jackie Stewart, Tom Wheatcroft and Bernie Ecclestone. The accolade is further recognition for his work in developing the Goodwood Festival of Speed and the Revival Race Meeting.

“Lord March’s events provide unrivalled enjoyment for thousands of drivers and spectators and deliver enormous benefit to the business of motor sport. He is supporting a huge number of engineers and related craftsmen,” said Chris Aylett of the MIA. The award was presented by Lord Jones, Minister of State for Trade, Promotion and Investment.
