Parting shot: Circuit de Catalunya, Spain

Ferrari’s Jean Alesi lights up the Circuit de Catalunya – the first season this track had been used for the Spanish GP. Alesi finished fourth, with team-mate Alain Prost second – the best the Ferrari 643 would achieve. Prost said that a truck would be easier to drive than the 643; the Scuderia dispensed with his services before the year was up.
