American petrol-driven model cars are called “spindizzies” and are so fast that they motor round the pole on their front wheels only – a case of spoiling the sport for a spot of sensation.
It is hoped that a road race will be held at Bathurst, Australia, at Easter. The townsfolk are very keen, as the race brings trade. The course is now cleared of Army vehicles, but is in “rather poor shape.”
