On the vintage commercial vehicle front

On the vintage commercial vehicle front we hear that a Burford lorry, circa 1922, is preserved in fine condition by a firm in Cardiff, where the Park Coal Co, still operate a few 1922 Walker electric lorries. A 1927 Leyland PLSC Lion is in use as a caravan in Hayle, ex-Southern National but with non-original body, and a rear-braked 1-ton Morris Commercial ‘bus exists at the same place, while a model-T Ford lorry chassis and cab languishes in Exmouth. A West Country enthusiast has imported an Austin tractor of early French-made type from Jersey (Customs duty £3 0s. 5d.) and is hoping to-obtain a 1930 Leyland TD1 Titan low-bridge double-decker, also from Jersey.
