I saw on the inside cover of January’s MOTOR SPORT the Motor Insurers’ Bureau announcement about the Green Card.
While I do not wish to detract from what the card does for touring motorists, I should like to know if now that one motorist has to pay for a card, do the others who now do not subsidise him get a reduction in the premium ? If the insurers reply that the amount is too small to worry about, then why not leave things as they were and let the remainder of us subsidise the tourists as before?
I feel that if the other motorists think about this they will feel the same way; that this is just another way of getting money out of the motorist.
