Good service from Smiths

In response to an advertisement I recently purchased a rear-screen heater from Smiths Industries Ltd. On fitting it I was irritated to find that the heating element simply would not adhere to the rear window. Since the car was wired up I was naturally rather annoyed and wrote to Smiths. They answered my letter very courteously by return of post, and sent me another element free of charge. This adhered beautifully and for £3.25, plus a couple of hours’ work, can now enjoy an uninterrupted rear view of the traffic jams on the A40. A simple story and perhaps one which would not merit publication but I was impressed by Smith’s customer relations, and at the price the Smith’s R.S.4 does seem extraordinarily good value.
