TR Register

Sir,

Exactly 30 years ago at the start of 1970, your predecessor Bill Boddy was kind enough to print in Motor Sport a series of letters concerning the Triumph TR and the huge latent enthusiasm for the marque. Out of these modest beginnings the TR Register was formed in January 1970 by the author of one of those first letters, Terry Simpson, backed up by several other of those early correspondents.

We have now grown, three decades later, to become one of the largest and most successful of the one-make car clubs and in our 30th Anniversary year, we would like to thank Motor Sport for the instrumental part it played in getting the TR Register off the ground and gaining for these wonderful sportscars the recognition that they truly deserved.

Enthusiasm for TRs of all types has never been greater, so may the magazine prosper along with the TR club!

I AM, YOURS, ETC

Ian Evans, Chairman,

and the Committe of the TR Register
