The article ‘Dynosaurs’ in your excellent special feature on the Can-Am series left readers with a question regarding where else could startlingly adventurous designs such as the Mac’s-It Special be found?
One possible answer could be here in dear old Blighty. I seem to remember reading an article in 1963 or ’64 that described a Lotus 23 which was powered by six 250cc motorcycle engines. I believe these drove a common output shaft via chains.
Perhaps other readers also remember this car and can supply more details on its history.
