Lotto cash for HMC

The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust has been granted £997,691 of National Lottery money for a major redevelopment of the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon, Warwickshire. Plans call for a new mezzanine floor within the museum’s main hall and the creation of two new exhibitions. ‘Making British Cars’ will tell the story of the UK motor industry from the 1890s to the present day. ‘Under the Skin’ will be an interactive display aimed at children that explains how a car works. Work will start in January with the exhibitions up and running by May.
