We have received the following letter from a competitor in the Bugatti Owners’ Club’s Half Day Trial :—

SIR,—in the November issue of MOTOR SPORT, under the heading of “The Bugatti Club in Surrey,” I am incorrectly reported as having taken a wrong turning and gone off the course whilst driving a 30-98 Vauxhall Saloon instead of my O.M.

I should like to point out that the driver of the 30-98 Vauxhall Saloon was Mr. D. McNeil, of whose team I was a member, and that I was driving my O.M. Incidentally, the official results of this trial show that McNeil in his Vauxhall put up the second best performance, his aggregate for the various timed events being only 0.4 seconds below that of the

winner of the “Premier Award,” K. W. Bear whose trial for the three tests totalled to 40.4 seconds.

Wishing your excellent paper every success.

C. B. MAYO SMITH.

We tender our apologies for having mistaken Mr. Mayo Smith’s identity.
