The following national hour-records have been established at Zandvoort road circuit: Class H (750 c.c.): H. Hoogeveen (650-c.c. Minor), 87.03 k.p.h., best lap at 88.54 k.p.h. Class F (1,500 c.c.): Gatsonittes (Gatso-F.I.A.T.), 101.94 k.p.h., best lap at 104.98 k.p.h. Class E (2,000 c.c.): Hope (Citroën), 91.28 k.p.h., best lap at 93.12 k.p.h. Class C (5 litre): Barendregt (Gatso), 104.39 k.p.h., best lap at 107.82 k.p.h. The 4-litre Gatso had a brief pit-stop during its run, to clear a blocked fuel line. All the  speeds are very creditable, when one remembers that this is it road course, the lap-record for which is which is held by Farina’s Maserati at 131.48 k.p.h., his maximum speed being about 180 m.p.h., of which only about 135 m.p.h. could be attained along the straight at Zandvoort. Further attacks on these local records are anticipated.
