It was a happy thought on the part of the Sunbeam Register to invite representatives of other one-make organisations to its dinner and social at St Albans on December 1st. P Sims of the Aston-Martin OC, J Green of the Bentley DC, Mr and Mrs N Freedman of the Lancia MC, Mr and Mrs Jeddere Fisher of the Lagonda Club, P Quiggin of the Alvis Register, and Lt and Mrs AB Demans of the Humber Register accepted and a good time was had by all. Mrs. Boddy had arranged an advertisement identification contest, a quiz and a series of driving tests in foot-propelled SRI, a special built in a few weeks for the purpose by RC Carter with far less fuss than is associated with the BRM. Pictures from the Register’s Events Records were on view. N Freedman won the quiz, TK Wheeler the advertisement contest and ftd in the SRI “dice” was established by Mr Webb, while Mrs Fisher clocked best ladles’ time. The season’s prizes were presented by Mrs S Darbishire, and a pleasant party broke up around midnight. The Sunbeam Register (Mrs W Boddy, Carmel, Wood Lane, Fleet, Hants.) now has over 800 owners of Wolverhampton Sunbeams on its books and publishes a printed magazine bi-monthly.
