Sports cars compared

Sir,

I am afraid your correspondent, RC Wallace, has completely missed the point, when in last month’s issue he compared the XK120 and the FrazerNash.

The F-N is a true sports-racing car which has been designed and bred to go fast, not only on the straight, but round corners—and that naturally costa money !

The Jaguar, on the other hand, is a two-seater tourer, which, because it can move fairly fast on its 31/2-litres, has tempted a few brave souls to race it—and it has done quite well!

As for the XK120C! This alas is not for the home market, and when it is available, I don’t think it will cost much short of that £3,000 you talk about, Mr. Wallace !

I am, Yours, etc,

John A Anderson, Hatfield.
