"The Beauty of Cars," by Kenneth Ullyett.

150 pp. 10-7/8 in. x 8-3/8 in. (Max Parrish & Co., Ltd., 55, Queen Anne Street, London. 35s.)

This book, the “Beauty” series consists of 128 varied and specially selected portraits, mostly by camera, a few drawn, of cars from all ages, in all manner of surroundings, cleverly, artistically or dramatically depicted. Some we have seen previously, but the selection is excellent and Ullyett writes an admirable 22-page introduction. This picture-book is a luxury, but, having nothing in common with a catalogue, a worthwhile luxury. Motor Sport contributes two pictures of modern trials cars and another of Stirling Moss in action.—W. B.
