The Monoposto Racing Club

After ten successful years of working to provide single-seater racing for the amateur club driver, steering clear of the professionals and unlimited-money class of club racing, and keeping the members out of the spiralling “rat-race” of activities like Formula Ford and Formula Vee, Frank Tiedman has decided to hand over secretaryship to Mrs. Phyllis Hood. That the concept of Monoposto Racing at low cost for the Clubman has succeeded can be seen by the calendar of 18 races for this category during 1969 and the necessity of having to turn down many more invitations from other clubs. The Monoposto Club encourages the amateur single-seater special builder in the same way that the 750 Club encourages the sports-car special builder. Secretary: Mrs. P. Hood, “High Noon”, Petersfinger, Salisbury, Wiltshire.
