Sir,

One can only assume from your comments regarding the new Porsche “Turbo” that you have never heard of the British manufactured Trident Clipper. With a 0-60 m.p.h. time of 4.7 secs. and a top speed of around 160 m.p.h. this car at under £5,000, a third the price of the Porsche, must surely be a main contender for the fastest and cheapest standard production car in the world.

The Trident is also a nice looking car with no “added” spoilers like the Porsche, which surely must be the result of its predecessors’ bad design. You must be joking if you call this ugly looking “projectile” “the most covetable road car in the world”.

How about keeping the British flag flying and treating us all to a road test of the Clipper?
