Entries close on January 10 for the Sunbeam MCC’s Pioneer Run for pre1915 machines on March 19. Apply to Marjorie Ayers, 59 Beechwood Road, Sanderstead, Surrey, CR2 ORE.

Among the celebrations planned for the silver jubilee of the 750 Motor Club next year is a re-run of its first competitive event, the Committee Cup Trial in Kent. Organiser G. Fullalove of 14 Pear Tree Avenue, Ditton, Maidstone, Kent, ME20 6EG would therefore like to hear from anyone who has any information about the original event.

In the October issue of Revcounter, the Austin Healey Club gives details of two meetings in North America in the last week of June 1989 — one on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls and the second in Oregon. At least 20 British enthusiasts are expected to go on the extended visit being organised by Gordon and Joyce Pearce (Gazebo, Newton Lane, Whiteparish, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP5 2QQ). Meanwhile the Club has decided to open up its own annual International Healey Weekend into an International Classic Sportscar Weekend for July 1989, to attract families and other car enthusiasts.

Following the resignation of Brian Harcourt-Smith, the new Vintage SCC secretary is David Franklin.

Aston Martin Owners Club member Martin Cobb is compiling a register of David Brown Lagondas. His address is 2 Famet Court, Halsford Lane, East Grinstead, West Sussex, RH19 1NZ, and a form requesting full details from owners appeared in AMOC’s October NewsSheet.

TR Registrar Bill Piggott is able to provide factory original specification traces for TR2s, 3s and 3As to owners who send their car’s commission number, a cheque for £3 and an SAE to him at 44 High Pavement, Nottingham NG1 1HW. Owners of TR4s, 4As, 5s, 250s, 6s and 7s can obtain a factory trace from the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust at Castle Road, Studley, Warwickshire, B80 7AJ , at a cost of £5.

The Classic & Historic Motor Club is holding its Elizabethan Charter Run from London to Wells on July 9, and is helping to organise the Great British Film Rally from London to Cannes for pre-1959 cars from May 7-17. Its secretary is Mrs T Burridge, The Smithy, High Street, Sloe Easton, Bath, BA3 4DQ.

Contrary to reports elsewhere, secretary Nick Raven assures Lotus owners that Club Elite is still very much in existence, with nearly 170 members, and can be contacted at 15 Peading Road, Countesthorpe, Leicestershire, LE8 3RD.
