Clay Regazzoni is among 40 drivers registered to take part in May’s Classic Malts Scottish Six Day Reliability Trial. The 1350-mile route, which the former GP driver will tackle in his hand-controlled Mercedes, takes in six distilleries.
Endurance races of 400, 500 and 300 kilometres respectively will be run for Pre-1960 Sports and Pre-’65 GT and Touring Cars at Brno next June, the Nürburgring’s Oldtimer GP in August and Imola in October.
ERA Club president Rivers Fletcher was awarded the organisation’s Francis Howe Trophy for his lifetime of service at its annual reunion. Rivers not only founded the club in 1935, but has worked ever since to ensure its survival.

Coventry Jaguar specialist Guy Broad will mark the 50th anniversary of the XK engine next June with an attempt to beat Nonnan Dewis’s X K speed record of 172.412mph, set in 1953. The ‘XK180′ car, modelled on the lines of the `Slingsby Bubble’ streamliner, is under construction. Broad is yet to announce a driver.
Lynx Motors has restarted limited production of its stunning Jaguar C-type replicas. ‘Having produced more than 50 D-types, we felt the time was right to offer the discerning customer something different,’ said Lynx’s managing director John Mayston-Taylor.
