Tunis GP recreation proves a success

The Grand Prix historique de Tunis enjoyed a successful sun-kissed event in November, when 30 classic sportscars — predominantly from the UK, Italy and France — raced around a circuit which was especially designed for the event, in the Berges du Lac area of Tunis.

The Bugatti 35 of Michael Steele (above) won one of the races, but the real coup for the organisers was the presence of the car which won the last Tunis GP, in 1955— the Talbot-Lago T26. Appropriately, its owner, Richard Pilkington, won his heat.
