Superprix changes

The HSCC’s Brands Hatch Superprix will move away from a mid-summer date for the first time in its 17-year history when the meeting runs over the weekend of May 6/7 for 2006.

The move has been prompted by other major events blocking out any suitable weekends in July at the Kent circuit. The move does make the midseason historic calendar slightly less crowded than it was in 2005, when the Superprix ran only one weekend ahead of the Silverstone Classic.

The HSCC has extended its race calendar for 2006, with a total of 20 days of action. More two-day race meetings and a return to Croix-en-Ternois in Northern France feature on the schedule.
