THE “MOTOR SPORT” TROPHY.

UTBOARD racing is a relatively new sportin this country, but as each season goes by the numbers of its followers steadily increase. New clubs are coming into being in all parts of the British Isles, and the 1930 calendar contains a fixture list which, when compared with those of previous years, serves as a striking indication of

the growth of marine motoring. With the object of encouraging and furthering the interest of the sport stilt more, the proprietors of this journal therefore offered the ” Motor /Sport ” which

was competed for, for the first time last month on occasion of the Isle of Man Boat Meeting. Executed by Messrs. Elkington, the Trophy comprises a handsome silver cup with a decorative design embodying a frieze taken from the celebrated Grecian Elgin marble.

The present holder is Mr. F. G. Dinsdale.
