Cars in Books, March 1969
From "Old Maids Remember", by Angela Du Maurier (Peter Davies, 1966), we are reminded of the time when it was possible to drive to Oxford Street in a pony cart,…
A PALLADIUM CAR
Sir, I was particularly interested in the paragraph headed ” Vintage ” in Rumblings of last month’s issue of the
MOTOR SPORT.
The evening before I bought my copy I returned to town in the evening and went to fetch my car from the garage. Noticing an oldish-looking car in the yard, I went to inspect it and was surprised to find that it was a Palladium, a marque. of which I had never previously heard. I found out from a mechanic that it had. been towed in during the afternoon by a local ” breaker ” minus tyres and tubes. on the front wheels and he was coming back on the following day with these items to take it to his yard.
I have set enquiries afoot and hope to find out its history and what price is wanted for it. I am, Yours etc.,
