Photo: The famous Leyland-Eight, the very advanced luxury car designed for Leyland Ltd. by J.G. Parry-Thomas, immediately after the Kaiser war.   It bristled with ingenious features and its specification embraced a 7.2-litre o.h.c. straight-eight engine with valves inclined in hemispherical heads and closed by leaf springs, and a combination of leaf-spring and torsional suspension. We have it on authority of the makers that only eighteen were built and doubt if any standard versions still exist.  The two-seater is shown with Parry Thomas, the famous driver-designer, at the wheel.
