A Static Display and Parade of Veteran and Vintage Cars and Motorcycles is to be held in Oakley Park, near Basingstoke, Hants, on Sunday, August 18th, in conjunction with a Charity Cricket Match between the Hampshire County Cricket XI and Oakley XV, in aid of the Hampshire C.C.C. Centenary Appeal. Pride of Ownership Cups will be awarded, and all entries will receive a Commemorative Plaque. Entry forms, price 5s., can be obtained from Ray G. The Bean C.C. Summer Rally takes plate at Bracknell Sports Stadium, Bracknell, Berks, on July 21st. It is open to all ages of cars and commercial vehicles, up to and including p.v.t.; they will be divided into six classes. Cars must be in position by 12 noon. Details from Capt. R. H. The Chiltern Traction Engine Club Rally at Chartridge End Farm, Chesham, Bucks (O.S. 159: 920 047), will be held on June 29th, with vintage cars in attendance, doing simple tests while the engines get up steam. The V.C.C. London Section has a big rally and driving tests for veteran cars at the Crystal Palace on July 21st, competitors arriving from 10.30 a.m. onwards. In conjunction with Basingstoke Carnival, there will be a rally for old cars and motorcycles in the Annexe to the War Memorial Park, Crossborough Hill, Basingstoke, on July 14th, at 2.30 p.m. Entries close by July 6th, at 10s. per car.
