Here is a one-model book about the newest of the Jaguars, by an enthusiast who has owned XK120, XK140, XK150 and three E-types. He traces the inside story of the new XJ6 in much detail, helped by many pictures of the car, its technicalities, and what happens at the factory.

The text includes an interview with Bob Knight, who engineered this Jaguar which has put the famous Coventry company back in business and is doing so much for Britain in the World’s export markets. There are also interviews with John Morgan, Jaguar’s sales manager, and with company chairman Sir John Egan. I was interested to note that the author is a council member of the Sherlock Holmes Society and a prominent hot-air balloonist. The foreword, appropriately, was written by the Prime Minister. WB
