I was interested to read the article on the Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider in your June issue, and feel that I ought to point out a couple of inaccuracies.
Firstly, since when have Bertone produced the Alfa Romeo Spider 2000? Surely the discreet badges on the rear wing read Pininfarina!
Secondly, all Alfa Spider fans will be pleased to hear that Fiat boss Vittorio Ghidella has stated that the Alfa Spider will “soldier on indefinitely”.
I am sure that there will be new Spiders and GT cars from Alfa Romeo, but these will not in any way replace or clash with the traditional two-seater sports car for which I am sure there will always be a discerning clientele.
