Bentley's fire-engine

Milestone miniatures LTD of West End, Redruth Cornwall TR15 2SA have a very appealing model of the 3-litre Bentley fire-engine which the BARC had from 1935, its open body painted in the club’s black and yellow and filled with Pyrene fire-extinguishers. It was said to be able to reach any part of the Track within 1.1/2 minutes.

Originally it was a Park Ward all-weather coupe, and it was delivered to W E Hedley in October 1924. The brightly painted miniature, fractionally under 4in long, is an excellent reminder of those long-ago Brooklands days, and should appeal to members of the Brooklands Society, Bentley DC, The Benjafield Club, VSCC and the Brooklands Museum etc. It costs £115 ready-built and mounted on a display plinth.
