Euro 2-litre star Lepp returns with Chevron

Ex-factory Chevron and March sportscar driver John Lepp ended a 17-year break from racing by competing in the International Supersports Cup rounds at Silverstone in May.

The Briton, now 65, drove John Burton’s 2-litre Chevron B26 to third place in the second of the races.

Burton and Lepp, who was British sportscar champion in 1969 and ’76, were formerly team-mates in the Red Rose Chevron squad of ’71.

“I thought it’d be interesting to see how it felt to race again,” said Lepp, who now lives in the Canary Islands.
