McKinney is good at placing events in context without idolising these hugely valuable relics, and breaks new ground with a history of the historic racing which keeps these lovely cars alive. He discusses the sometimes dubious identity question fully, gives short chassis histories, andn points you towards museums with 250Fs on show. It’s just a pity it’s not more vibrant to look at. GC
