Oliver Bryant’s prodigious racing schedule for 2006 took in three wins in three different cars during the Top Hat weekend at Donington Park.

In the Sebring Salute race, he saw off the challenge of the David Clark/Simon Hadfield Elva, but the Morgan Plus 8 ran out of fuel as Bryant crossed the line. By the time he was towed in, the grid for the following ’50s Sportscar race had formed and he was left to start the Lotus from the back.

Undeterred, the gifted youngster romped through the field to win and then completed his hat-trick by sharing his father’s AC Cobra in winning the Shelby Tojeiro Celebration race.

Clark and Hadfield took Cloth Cap spoils as noise dramas left the Ford GT40s starting from the pit road. Chris Chiles and Paul Ingram took a nicely measured Top Hat win in changing weather with their Ford Mustang.
