The Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club celebrates its golden anniversary this year. It continues to publish its bi-monthly bulletin packed with fine photographs of delectable cars. The Sir Henry Royce R-R Memorial Foundation has been given six more sectioned R-R engines from Silver Ghost onwards, which will be of great use in the club’s technical seminars.

In conjunction with the centenary celebrations at Brooklands, two new histories are being published: All the Years at Brooklands, by Gerry Belton (Centennial Publications, £29.95) and Brooklands: the Official Centenary History, by David Venables (Haynes, £30).

In the VSCC’s Scottish Trial the winners of the main awards were: Campbell Trophy, Richard Parsons (GN); Sammy Davis Cup, Brian Hopkins (Singer LS); McCosh Trophy, Jonathan Miller (Chrysler 68).
