New charity race launched

A new racing event called ‘The Circuit’ has been launched in aid of the NSPCC’s Child’s Voice Appeal by Pink Floyd drummer and motor racing fan Nick Mason and ex-F1 driver Mark Blundell.

‘The Circuit’, which will take place at Palmer Sport’s Bedford Autodrome on September 17, will give members of the public the chance to drive six high-performance cars including the Formula Jaguar, Porsche 911 JP3, Palmer Jaguar JP1, Renault Clio Cup racer, Caterham 7 Superlight and the Jaguar XKR. Participants will be split into teams of 20 with a professional driver and a celebrity from the world of sport or entertainment as captains.

Jeremy Clarkson will host a lunch and auction at the event, which has a £2000 entry fee in a bid to raise £100,000 for charity. For details call 020 7825 2608.
