Hunt McLaren to star at Knockhill

July 7, 2014

The ex-James Hunt McLaren M26 will be one of the big attractions at the fifth annual Classic SpeedFair at Knockhill on June 26/27. The 1977 car will be demonstrated along with the Gurney Eagle FA74 Formula 5000 from Frank Lyons’ stable during the biggest classic racing event north of the border.

The line-up includes Formula Junior and Equipe GTS races as well as races for the Pirelli Ferrari Formula Classic series. “We’re expecting the biggest Ferrari gathering ever held in Scotland,” said Stuart Gray from Knockhill. “Dozens of road-going cars are due to attend.”

He is as at home in the paddock at Brands Hatch as in a Welsh forest or at Shelsley Walsh.
