The Railton OC has its National Meeting at Finmere on June 11th, when the John Cobb Cup will be contested in the Concours d’Etat and there will be driving tests and a display of Railton pictures and literature. It had to happen—we mentioned recently the remarkable number of Austin A30s and A35s still in use, particularly in mid-Wales. A club has been formed for them, whose membership secretary is P. Parfitt, 13, Manor Way, Woodhamsterne, Banstead, Surrey. The STD Register’s Wolverhampton Rally, when Coatalen Sunbeams return to their birthplace, is on July 2nd. Two-stroke-engined cars are now obsolete except for the Wartburg, which soldiers on courageously, so the Saab OC of GB has decided to form a register of all two-stroke Saabs, including those owned by non-members. The Registrar is V. J. Mortimer, Bristol Road, Churchill, New Bristol, Somerset. BS19 5NL, who will gladly supply registration forms. The pre-50′ American AC has a rally at Hereford Race Course on June 4th, from 12 noon, with emphasis on American vehicles. The place at which to see Rolls-Royces of all kinds is Blenheim Palace on June 11th, when the RREC has its annual rally. If you prefer Daimlers, the Daimler and Lanchester OC have their Woburn Abbey Rally on June 4th. The next big Austin 7 Jubilee fixture is the three-day Longbridge event, from August 26th-28th, ending with a cavalcade of Austin is through Birmingham and Lickey.
