Long- distance Sports Car Racing

Sir,

I have just received the March issue of Motor Sport, and am all in favour of your message in your Editorial.

As a British enthusiast now in the US I have long advocated in many letters the need to return to one or even two good long-distance races for regular everyday sports cars; there certainly are enough models around to make a most interesting and enjoyable race.

Why not revive the TT on this basis, or a return of the Empire Trophy or Nuffield Trophy and what better place than the new Donington Park? I drove over it last year; it’s outstanding, so come on, Britain, what about it?

Best wishes to Motor Sport.
