Regarding unmarked police cars – some have been observed down here in Devon.
Ford Granada HFJ – N registered have been observed on the A30; a yellow one lurks between Exeter and Honiton and a green one between Cornwall, Okehampton and Exeter. Their appearance was noted in the local press sometime back and the constabulary PR, were quoted as saying these cars were to deter the “hard core speeders.” With our senseless speed-limits this statement verges on the hysterical. Also observed in the city of Exeter a red 1.1-litre N registered Escort but that’s probably used for CID work.
You’d better with-hold my name and address as I commute on the A30!
