London Car Club

The London CC have announced their summer programme of motor racing film shows. On June 7th and 14th the programme is “Uncrowned Champions” (Grand Prix 1970), “Mountain Legend” (Targa Florio 1965) and “Le Mans 1965” (Triumph Spitfires). Two other programmes will be shown on July 5th and 12th, and August 2nd and 9th. All the shows will be held at the Packhorse & Talbot public house, 145 Chiswick High Rd, London W4. Admission is free by ticket, from 6 Atwood Road, London W6 OHX if you enclose s.a.e. June marks the first anniversary of the club’s video and film archive which is sustained solely by donations.

Alfa Romeo Owner’s Club

The biggest event in the Alfa owner’s year arrives this month — National Alfa Day, to be held on Sunday, June 10th at Stanford Hall, near Lutterworth, Leicestershire. The expected concours, driving tests, displays and autojumble follow the AGM at 11 am. Non-members are welcome. The Club runs a series of races and circuit driving days, as well as a lively social programme and there is an excellent and topical monthly magazine. Curborough Sprints

ALL enquires about the Curborough Sprint Course should now be directed to Mr. M. M. Usher, Roman Way, Knowle Lane, Lichfield, Staffs, WS14 9RB, telephone Lichfield (054 32) 54597. There are still one or two openings for use of the course this year. Interested club secretaries should contact Mr Usher.

Formula Ford French Launch

Ford’s newest Continental FF1600 series took off on May 2nd at the Magny-Cours circuit in France. 40 entries were received for the 28 places on the grid, though none from Britain, and the event was won by Jean-Phillipe Grand in a Rondeau MS 84, the Le Mans-built car based on the Reynard FF83.
