The VSCC at Oulton Park - June 9th

The VSCC’s Richard Seaman Memorial Trophies Race Meeting at the road-circuit-like Oulton Park near Tarporley is one of the most enjoyable in their long season. This year it will happen on June 9th, starting at 1.15 pm. Very good fare in the pre-war and early post-war tradition is promised by the three 16 lap races, for the Seaman Vintage Trophy, the Seaman Pre-War Trophy and the Cheshire Building Society Trophy for Historic racing cars. These main events will be supported by an eight lap race for the Gransden Cup for 500 cc racing cars and four or five shorter scratch and handicap contests. Those who arrive early can watch practising from 9 am onwards and the public, sans dogs, are very welcome. Points will be scored during the afternoon towards the MOTOR SPORT Brooklands Memorial Trophy, the leader in which is at present W. D. A. Black. — W.B.
